iPhone 6’s everywhere in Shanghai

So many people in Shanghai are carrying iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. I notice that many of them grab the phone visibly in his/her hand (instead of keeping the phone in a pocket) while walking on the street, even if the phone is not in use. Chinese customers seem to have the mentality of needing to show off having the latest model of iPhones. I believe there are more iPhone 6 Plus’ in use in China than in any other countries. Considering the average income in China is still relatively low, an iPhone 6 Plus costs more than a month’s salary for many workers. The prevalence of iPhone 6’s in China is indeed a curious phenomena. Consumer mentality can only be observed up-close by living in Shanghai.
